I've been spending most of my time focused on providing short articles about wellness, fitness, motivation and pilates...
Where?
Well, take a gander at one of my recent books about the book Tribes by Seth Godin:

Grrrly Sites Galore
Can't get enough of the Style Network or Makeover shows on TLC or the WE Network?
Check out these grrly sites which focus on a variety of topics for women....not just about how to be a good mommy....
IVillageThe old standby for a solid women's network. Diet, Career, Fitness, Parenting, Medical, Product Reviews...
Saavy Girl Fun little site to check out...I'm still reading through some of the articles. Let me know what you think?
Geek Sugar...I always start either here or at Fit Sugar, but all their portals are fun.
And while we are on the subject of tech related sites...I recently found this site. Check out:
Hi Tech Mommy. If you watched TechTV, then you know who she is...I love Cat....and since I'm about to be a mommy myself for the first time...I have been lurking here!

Pilates for Christmas!
Since the fat holidays are upon us, I figured now was a good time to let you all know how to get in touch with me if you are interested in trying out pilates, staying in shape, getting in shape, or just feeling generally better about yourself.
I teach pilates in the Los Angeles area with access to a few different studios.
If you or anyone you know is looking for a fun, challenging, no pressure way to start working out (or keep working out), check me out at my pilates site.
Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week! Agh!

Simple Bits
I know I'm supposed to be a girly girl and that so far I've been kinda sticking to the healthy tech, gadgets related to health or pilates, but I saw this site and thought it looked fun...
I love the main site that posted this link and is apparently responsible for it being developed in the first place.
Foamee is a site that helps you keep track of all those beers you say you owe people via your Twitter account. Fun, simple, and useful too! Maybe Alex and Kevin over at Diggnation could use this in reverse mode if people offer THEM beers.
On a side note...my first trip to Simple Bits was purely accidental. I was looking for inspiration on transforming my walk-in closet to an office. We need a bit more space for guests in our office, so I went on the interweb hunt for a how to. Now I go back to the site everyday!

For Instuctors Only
Okay, this is yet another pilates post, but when I find good information, I must share it!
For all physical fitness instructors - private trainers, yoga teachers, group exercise instructors, you can get discounts at a few different spots - a few are national and a few are local. Here are 2 national biggies! Enjoy!
Lululemon
I OD'd a little on this brand last year and then started seeing it on all the clients coming in, so I had to cut back on buying stuff from this store. I was a little over dramatic in thinking the Lululemon army was being outfitted and was taking over the world!
Anyways...go to their site or go to one of their stores and you can sign up for their R & D program - it gives you a 15% discount on all their products.
side note: If you agree to do one of their monthly/weekly in store teachings, they will reimburse you with a free product from the store.
Addidas 3-stripes Instructor Program
I heard about this on Thursday, then miraculously got a catalogue/application in the mail on Friday! The discount is truly amazing and worth every penny. You can use your discount between November 5th and December 28th to buy gifts too! Check it out!
Have a great day!

Pilates 2.0
I have to throw a list of pilates web sites up. Many of my clients travel quite frequently for work, pleasure and family reasons...I think everyone I am friends with here in Los Angeles comes from east of the Mississippi. Well, not everyone, but a good chunk of the crew. Anyways, my clients always ask me, what can I do while I'm away?? How can I keep my abs from flabbing up??? After advising them to cut down on beer consumptions at the numerous pubs I'm sure they'll frequent, I try to give them a few sites/books to check out or take with them. This list is what I found only by doing a quick search today, but I'm sure there are more online sources for pilates. Of course, you could always actually take a vacation and not worry about doing your pilates...I mean, c'mon! Throw a few coronas back and just chill!
Jillian Hessel - Her DVDs and videos are good for students since she is really clear and hits the basics.
Expert Village
I just discovered this today and plan on doing some of these videos on my own. I'll update this post with a thumbs up or down as soon as I can check them out!
The Pilates Body Kit
Compact kit you can take with you without loading down your suitcase.
Pilates-Pro
This is a site geared to the instructor, but I have found nuggets of information that I have passed onto clients.
Contact them for info on classes in the area you'll be travelling to!
FitSugar
They have a ton of abs/pilates like videos on the site that you can also print out - if you don't/won't have web access on your trip.
YouTube
There are a ton of videos here! Check with your instructor to find one that she/he thinks will be good for you! I did find several clips and full workouts, but I wouldn't suggest them for everyone. Make sure you share your finds with your instructor for guidance on which are the safest.

Funny Stuff
I was about to delete this but for some reason it amuses me that I posted only twice to this blog. I might decide to revive it at some point!
